Me and My Voice
Eva's been described as a personal and professional carer of children whose work is coloured by her experience as a former child protection lawyer and a mother. Her story telling celebrates the unheard voices of young people and women who are at the heart of her creative practice.
Eva's been creating work since 2015. Her stage plays have been developed and or produced at London theatres to include The National, Soho Theatre, Theatre503 and Southwark Playhouse together with Traverse Theatre in Scotland. Her play LOOKED AFTER CHILDREN was shortlisted for the ALFRED FAGON award.
In 2023/24 Eva was the Dramaturg , Writer Mentor and provided story material on THE BODY REMEMBERS, a powerful new play about the impact of sexual violence on young women and girls.
In 2022 she was commissioned by Open Clasp theatre, co-creating CAKE AND CONDOMS with women from a grass roots charity in Wolverhampton.
Since 2020, Eva's written for the screen. For TV, she's worked with Renegade Productions to develop FOURTEEN a single TV drama. Also, she's been commissioned to write a short film with a BAFTA Breakthrough Artist. Currently she's developing two TV Spec scripts. One being SACRED ACTS with director Ben A. Williams ( WAR OF THE WORLDS and DR WHO).
For Film, Eva was awarded the Lucy Scher prize for most promising film maker at the 2022 Pitch Fund final. In April 2024, Eva wrote and directed NANA a short film about a secret child carer and intergenerational love.
Eva was selected for BBC Writers Room London Voices 2022 . She's currently on another BBC development course until end 2024. Eva is one of only two writers undertaking THE DUMPING GROUND SHADOW TV SCHEME 2024.
Eva delivers play writing workshop to and co-creates projects with local communities. She's a facilitator / Associate Artist at the National Youth Theatre of GB and Associate Artist at Routes Collective .
Eva will be taught playwriting as part of the CAYA youth programme at The Albany in summer 2024.

In September 2024 Eva was selected for and began on the BBC Children's TV show THE DUMPING GROUND shadow scheme.
In April 2024, Eva had her directing debut on her short film NANA - see link above to watch.
In March 2024 Eva mentored the writer of THE BODY REMEMBERS play which had run at The Albany theatre in March 2024. She was also the dramaturg and provided writing material for the show.

Eva's stage play CAKE AND CONDOMS premiered at Open Clasp Theatre on 9th June 2022.
In May 2022 Eva delivered STILL I RISE workshops to women seeking refuge in the UK as part of We Are Lewisham Borough of Culture

Eva is a RSL (Royal Society of Literature) Literature Matters Awards Winner 2020. Eva is using the award to develop "A Mother's Courage" a verbatim inspired play which explores youth violence and raising sons of colour through the eyes of mothers.
